>> exhibition: P.E.A.R. - Passion, Eroticism, Art, Romance
February 2009 | Studio 12 Gallery | Denver, CO
“P.E.A.R. - Passion, Eroticism, Art, Romance”
I exhibited two pieces at Studio 12 Gallery in the P.E.A.R show, a juried and invitational show.
"The photographic pieces, while they are not sculpturally physical like the paintings, have a directness and psychological physicalness of models who have the verve and comfortableness with their own bodies to use their nakedness as media to share the sexy, soulfull, vision of of the photographic artist whose ideas they are helping to express as part of a team effort. Since sex is something at its highest level when at least two people are involved, the group dynamic effort of the photographic pieces have a magnetism of the real life process of relationships."

>> exhibition: Prayers from the Thunder Dragon
March 2005 | Kirk Norlin Gallery | Denver, CO
"Prayers from the Thunder Dragon" -- SOLD-OUT
This exhibition consisted of photographs, prayers and colors printed directly on silk using pigmented, light fast inks, and edged with hand-sewn Dupioni silk, hung from bamboo in a manner inspired by traditional Asian scrolls. The exhibition also offered a unique lighted "Sun and Wind" piece, and a number of framed and unframed giclee prints as well as a photo book.
The Kingdom of Bhutan - known as the Land of the Thunder Dragon - lies east of Nepal and south of Tibet, and has been visited by a great many saints, mystics, scholars and pilgrims over the centuries who not only came for their personal elucidation, but blessed the land and its people with an invaluable spiritual and cultural legacy that has shaped every facet of Bhutanese lives. Buddhism, in its Tantric form, has been the predominant religion since the 7th century and has deeply inculcated the value that all forms of sentient life, not just human life, are precious and sacred. Bhutan measures itself on GNH, Gross National Happiness, and the country has been profiled recently in 'The Economist', 'The New York Times', and a number of other publications. Tourism is restricted to just over 7,500 tourists annually, and those who do venture there are changed for life.
